Mayko Nguyen partner Michael Brushey is a musician from Ontario. Michael also works as a session musician and private teacher.

Michael was born to his parents, Peter and Sherri Brushey, in Powassan. His father works at Nokian Footwear, which serves rubber boots with over a hundred years of experience.

According to North Bay Nipissing, His grandfather Joe Brushey had the license bureau in his hardware store, and Peter and Sherri took over the business in 1977.

He started drumming in the forest of northern Ontario at a young age. He grew up playing and observing the forest animals.

Brushey attended music performances at both Humber College and York University. He also took classes with Barry Romberg, Barry Elmes, Rick Lazar, Don Vickery, and Paul Delong.

Michael is a member of the Mystic Drummerz Team and the musical band Brave Shores.

The drummer has worked with the indie folk band The Wilderness of Manitoba on the album Across The Dark. He was joined by Raven Shields, Laena Geornimo and Tavo Diez de Bonilla.

Most recently, he worked with the Toronto band 'Some Kind Of Way' in the acclaimed sophomore album "Today, Tomorrow, & The Next Day." He collaborated with chief architects Nathan Vanderwielen and Christopher Shannon.

Mayko Nguyen and Michael Brushey share two children, Theo and Loo. The family lives between St. John's and Toronto.

The couple might have been married but have not confirmed any details yet. However, Mayko is seen flaunting an engagement ring on her ring finger.

Their youngest son Theo was born in July 2017; he is currently five years old. His grandfather Peter often comes to visit him and Loo with Sherri.

During the shooting of Killjoys, she was pregnant with Theo. Her role as Delle Seyah was also to be pregnant, which she incorporated while shooting.

Nguyen speaks Vietnamese, as her parents taught her the language. She has done voice-overs for several projects.

Theo has a keen interest in drawing. His mother, Mayko, has an Instagram highlight dedicated to his incredible drawings.

Michael celebrates his birthday on August 24, and his partner Mayko wishes him a happy birthday in 2021 with a smiling picture.

Mayko is 42 years old, while Michael also seems to be in his forties with his appearance. The pair might have only a few years of an age gap.

They visited Galactic Fedaration Of Balance cafe in Toronto on Loo's birthday. In 2017, Mayko posted a funny picture of Mike changing Theo's diaper while lying. The comment section applauded him for being a birth father.

The duo likes to keep their relationship private and content with each other. They even occasionally feature each other on their social media sites.

The actress shared a photo of her son Theo sleeping. She penned, "Looks nice now, but the hr this took to make happen plus, I’m stuck."

Mayko was born of Vietnamese and Canadian descent parents in Vancouver. She was brought up alongside two sisters, Naomi and Amy.

Naomi is an Art Collections Administrator at Private Art Collection. She went to University of Amsterdam and the University of British Columbia.

Amy studied at University of British Columbia and and earned a degree in bachelor's of computer science and a master's degree in pathologu and laboratory medicine.
