Manto – The writer who felt the pain of India’s Partition

On the Morning of 15th, Saadat Hasan Monto looked on with horror as communal violence erupted on the streets of his adopted home city, then known as Bombay. By 1955 he was dead at age of 42 due to alcoholism. He had never returned to the city he loved.
